Is Memorial Park Rumored to be Haunted?

An oasis in a desert city and sitting in the Manhattan Heights area, Memorial Park feels off due to its green and vibrant colors. This park is among the big recreational areas in the city, not the biggest, but large enough to count. Initially a location of a factory, the land was repurposed into the park that now sits on this hillside. The area was originally named Castle Hillside Park, but in 1920 it was named Memorial Park and it was later renamed on July 4th 1969 as Veterans Memorial Park in order to honor those who served in the first World War.. The park contains a pool, a tennis court, two baseball fields, a public library, a rental area for public and private events, and its main attraction, a rose garden. While having only two baseball fields isn’t that impressive, one has to keep in mind that the park is on a hill area, which complicates what can be built there. It also is right next to Crockett Elementary, which I mentioned earlier as a haunted location, with this park being no different. These hauntings are speculation, and need to be analyzes even further to verify.

Rumored Hauntings

This location also has its fair share of hauntings late at night as spirits and shadow people can be seen roaming the premises when no one can legally enter. This park is said to be haunted by a couple of spirits late at night, with the ghosts of a man and a crazy woman appearing on the bridge in the middle of the area. Both specters are said to attack anyone who passes by at night, with the man even whistling in people's ears and throwing rocks at them. The woman is also said to hiss at people and yell in their ears scaring anyone who would dare to wonder the location at night. Near the train tracks, there are purported  rumors of a spirit of a young boy that can be seen appearing in the area where he was murdered decades ago. This ghost boy is, until I can find more evidence, hearsay, but locals have reported movement when no one should be there. The park has also been the scene of ghastly crime scenes and deaths, as a man was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head as well as another was killed by a passing train next to the park. The location is also a hotspot for witchcraft and various artifacts associated with the occult have been found there.

If anyone has any more stories that could support or dispute these claims, let me know in the comments? You can also add your own experiences if you have any down below?
